The ITV hosts were joined by Vanessa Feltz and Nick Ferrari on Friday for the morning headline round-up.

Vanessa shared her deep concern, saying: “This is so upsetting, we’ve all interviewed him so many times, met him so many times.

“He is the embodiment of vitality, he is a man of irrepressible energy, enthusiasm and his enthusiasm is for everyone else to feel the same.

“To be your absolute fittest and healthiest, to enjoy life to the fullest and he’s the most wonderful wonderful person.

“He walked into the studio and the whole place lit up every single time.

“I couldn’t love the guy more or admire him, tremendous tremendous energy.

“So I’m just praying that somehow they find him.”

Nick said: “He is of course a huge favourite with all of your viewers, I do think we need to get the point across that the Greeks are very encouraged that they can get the dogs over there that quick.”

Dermot added: “We can only hope and pray and send our love to all his loved ones that he’s found.”

Police resumed their massive search for the TV doctor today as locals branded his disappearance “strange”.

BBC Star Dr. Michael Mosley Goes Missing in Greece
The sniffer dog, brought in from Athens, is being taken to the rocky path Dr Mosley, 67, supposedly took alone from a beach back to the accommodation where he was staying with his wife and Brit friends.

Speaking with The Sun, the security officer leading search and rescue operations in the southern Aegean revealed: “We’ll retrace his footsteps, we’ll scour the entire area.

“The arrival of the dog, trained by police for exactly this kind of situation, is crucial.”

A team of five Rhodes-based investigators are also set to arrive on the tiny isle today to take witness statements and expand the probe.

The cop said: “People will be brought in for questioning as we go into the next phase of the investigation.”

Mayor of Symi, Eleftherios Papakalodoukas, claimed the operation’s focus now “has to turn to the sea”.

He said: “This is a small place and it is difficult for a man to just disappear.”

Dr Mosley has four children with his wife, Dr Clare Bailey, who is also a doctor, an author, and a health columnist.
