A since-deleted post from Angel Reese was all innocent, her mother says.

The Chicago Sky rookie seemed to reignite her feud with former college basketball rival Caitlin Clark on social media Thursday night.

The Sky handed the New York Liberty their first loss of the season with a 90-81 win.

Reese, who was selected by the Sky with the No. 7 overall pick out of LSU, added 13 points and nine rebounds.

However, in celebrating their win, Reese took a thinly veiled shot at the Indiana Fever rookie, as the debate surrounding her impact on the league continues.

“And that’s on getting a WIN in a packed area not just ’cause of one player on our charter flight,” she wrote in a since-deleted post on X.

It was widely assumed the post was about Clark, and speculation grew when it was deleted. However, Reese’s mother says it was actually directed at the media.

The speculation also led to “racist & vile comments,” she said.

“She was not attacking CC but bc you & the rest of those ‘children of the corn’ folks thought she was & once again sending her racist & vile comments she did. Her comment was directed towards the media but of course you’re about clicks,” she wrote with a shrugging emoji.

The league’s recent growth is indisputable, but Reese believes it goes beyond just Clark.

“It’s not just one person, I think people don’t realize that (because) the narrative out there is that just one person changing the game,” she said Thursday during a press conference. “It’s a lot of us — me, Kamilla (Cardoso), there’s Cameron (Brink), Rickea (Jackson). There’s so many great players and it’s been long overdue and just being able to see that our impact has been able to change the game.”

Britney Spears raked in a whopping $40 million last year in 2023 alone - following claims that the singer is in 'serious danger of going broke.' 

The Baby One More Time songstress, 42 - who recently modeled various dresses as she moves on from the Chateau Marmont drama - earned the amount through various sources of income, such as her The Woman In Me memoir.

The book was officially released in October of last year and the performer notably signed a $15 million book deal. The memoir also sold 1.1 million copies in its first week of being on shelves in the United States.

A source told Us Weekly in an article published on Tuesday that Spears, 'earned $40 million' and added, 'There is no issue with money.'

Other streams of revenue that amounted to the $40 million also included her track with Elton John titled, Hold Me Closer - which dropped in August 2022.

She also has fragrances on the market, such as Fantasy, and additionally receives royalties from her music catalog.

Another inside told the outlet that Britney tends to 'buys a lot of clothes online,' but sticks to 'affordable' clothing. 'She isn't buying designer.'

The source added, however, that the star 'burns money' on vacations, and will sometimes cancel trips last minute.

The Toxic singer's 13-year conservatorship ended in 2021, and another source told US Weekly, 'There was a plan in place when Britney's conservatorship ended for her day-to-day life. But no one followed it. The money is going out quickly.'

But one insider explained that the singer does 'not have a huge problem' when it comes to her financial situation.

'Britney spends on vacations and the clothes you see her in on Instagram, but that's her prerogative. It's her money,' the source expressed.

Last month in April, TMZ reported that friends of the singer have branded her 'completely dysfunctional' and claim she is in a worse mental and financial situation than she was when she was under conservatorship.

The insiders have claimed that Britney is suffering from 'shocking and radical mood swings' and has become increasingly isolated.

One source has told the site that those who have remained close to the star believe she was doing better while under conservatorship.

'She had lots of freedom in the conservatorship and the restrictions were there to protect her. She's not protected anymore,' claimed the insider.

The star is also allegedly in danger of blowing her $60million fortune after splashing out over a million dollars for each of her monthly trips to French Polynesia and Hawaii, photos of which she shared on social media.

She is reportedly spending thousands on private jets and five star resorts for the regular holidays, with an insider claiming: 'She cannot afford this... she is in danger of going broke.'

Earlier this month, Spears sparked new mental health concerns following the Chateau Marmont incident.

On May 2, the pop singer was seen being escorted barefoot out of the iconic hotel with paramedics as well as her rumored boyfriend and ex-felon, Paul Richard Soliz.

The Baby One More Time songstress has since shared her version of the incident and revealed that she twisted her ankle while doing cartwheels outside of her hotel room.

She also expressed that she 'might have to get surgery' on her foot while claiming that she had been 'tricked' into being photographed barefoot while outside the hotel.

Since the incident, Britney has been active on social media, from giving updates in regards to her injured foot, to posting upbeat dance videos. Most recently, she shared clips of herself modeling different dresses for her fans on Instagram.

Insiders revealed to DailyMail.com that Britney had a massive panic attack and 'flipped out' at the Chateau Marmont over fears that her own mother called the paramedics on her, just minutes after she insisted she was mentally fine but had badly injured her ankle.

The singer sparked fears that she was spiraling into a mental breakdown when she was pictured wearing nothing but a blanket and underwear while clutching a pillow as she was escorted out of the celebrity hotspot by paramedics in the early hours.

She later shared pictures of her swollen foot on Instagram, insisting she was not in the midst of an episode, as she accused her own mother Lynne Spears, 60, of a 'set up.'

Insiders claimed Lynne was behind the 911 call and had asked her daughter if she was 'mentally fine' just minutes before.

Britney was crying in pain and she called Lynne in Louisiana to tell her what had happened,' a source told DailyMail.com exclusively. 'At the time, Lynne was the only one who knew that she had hurt herself.

'Lynne asked Britney if she was OK mentally and Britney told her mom that she was fine and it was just her ankle.

'Lynne called 911 and told them that Britney was having a breakdown and had injured herself. She knew that Britney was in a traumatized state.'

The estranged duo had recently reconnected following the end of Britney's conservatorship battle with her father Jamie Spears, 71, and the finalization of her divorce from ex-husband Sam Asghari.

Britney rubbished claims she had suffered a mental breakdown on Instagram - and posted a video of her swollen ankle. It was later claimed she had been doing cartwheels while drinking alcohol.

'Paramedics came to the door illegally and caused this huge scene and it was so unnecessary and all I needed was ice,' she said.

The Oops I Did It Again singer started crying and added: 'It is pretty mad but s***t happens.'

Britney and Paul were celebrating her divorce from her third husband Sam getting finalized - where they had a night of heavy drinking.

Speaks gave another update on the situation alongside a video of herself horseback riding. 'I honestly wish my life was as wild as it has been portrayed !!!'

'Either way, some s**t actually has happened to my foot and I might have to get surgery ... fingers crossed, hopefully not but I feel that I was harassed and gaslit and tricked to go on the street when my car was supposed to be there !!!'

'I was in my pajamas and yes, I had been crying because I hurt my foot !!! No breakdown !!! I'm a grown a** woman who is actually very naive in most situations !!!'

'I am simply embarrassed they got me in my damn pajamas !!! I don't feel loved … I feel mistreated !!! With that said, I'm going to treat myself this week !!!' Britney candidly typed to her Instagram followers.

The singer's close friends are also 'wary' of Paul Soliz and his intentions towards the star. Sources told Us Weekly, 'They don't think he's a good fit for her.'

Spears and Soliz first met two years earlier in 2022 when he had been hired to do maintenance at her home.

'They have tried for months to tell her to stop associating with him, but the more they tell her to stay away, it has the reverse effect,' another insider told the outlet. 'She isn't listening to them.'

'People around her have noticed he's bringing her down. There's some concern he is more of a yes man who gives into all of Britney's desires and whims and doesn't say no…[He's]not the best influence.'
