Marvel fans want Mad Max creator-director George Miller to direct Chris Hemsworth in a potential Thor 5.

Chris Hemsworth, better known to many as Thor, has been wreaking havoc in the world of Mad Max as Dr. Dementus and having the time of his life. A step away from the fictional world of Marvel Cinematic Universe, the actor looks brilliant and surprisingly does an impeccable job playing Dementus, despite having played a character like Thor for decades.

He might have moved on to the Mad Max franchise, but Hemsworth has not forgotten his Marvel roots and wants another go at Thor after the Love & Thunder fiasco. And Marvel fans believe George Miller is a good choice to direct Thor 5 after the director expressed he is willing to work with Hemsworth again.

Taika Watiti‘s Thor: Ragnarok was one of the best Marvel movies ever to be made. Yet immediately after the feature, Thor: Love & Thunder was no less than a fiasco despite commercial success and okay reviews (see Deadline). Blasted for several reasons, even Chris Hemsworth expressed regret and wants another go with his fan-favorite character (via Vanity Fair).

While Watiti expressed he won’t be involved with Thor 5 (via Business Insider), the director’s chair for a potential Thor 5 has been lying vacant. However, fans might have found the perfect replacement for Waititi in George Miller.

Miller directed Hemsworth in the upcoming Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and has spoken on a number of occasions about how he was left surprised by the actor’s talents. Even in a new interview with ComicBook.com, Miller remarked,

“I would work with Chris on anything. I really would. He’s a wonderful actor. He’s got the full range of all the skills. I mean, you’ve got to be athletic, physically. But, you also gotta be athletic emotionally and intellectually to take on these very, ultimately fairly complex, any role really.”

Stating he would love to work with him on anything, Miller’s comments were welcomed by Marvel fans, who took it to mean that the filmmaker would also work on big studio films like the MCU. as long as Hemsworth’s involved.

Furiosa is not yet in theatres now, but seeing its trailer and the laborious work of Miller throughout the Mad Max franchise, one can hardly doubt the filmmaker’s talents. Hence, when his recent comments went viral, several Marvel fans expressed that the Mad Max creator is the perfect one to helm Thor 5 and save the Thor franchise from ruin.

As fans beg Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios to let Miller handle Thor 5, Miller himself has yet to remark if he would be willing to work with Chris Hemsworth on a Marvel flick and Marvel is yet to confirm if or when Thor 5 will be taking place.
