Kate Middleton recently faced backlash after admitting to editing a Mother’s Day photo of her with her kids.

As per Mirror report, royal expert suggested that the fallout from the incident may lead Kate and Prince William to reconsider sharing such informal family photos in future.

Royal biographer, Ingrid Seward, highlighted the stress caused to the couple by the controversy, suggesting that they might opt out of releasing their own photos altogether.

“Perhaps William and Kate will decide it is just not worth the trouble of taking their own pictures and releasing them to the media? It might be a wise precaution,” she said.

The tradition of sharing personal family photos with public has been longstanding practice, with Kate often capturing informal moments with children.

However, the recent scandal has brought into question the trustworthiness of such images.

Seward revealed, “When Prince William was a toddler, Charles and Diana allowed a few photographers and a TV camera into their walled garden at Kensington Palace.”

“Then Diana began using her favourite photographer Tim Graham to take her ‘private’ photographs. His pictures were distributed to everyone who wanted them. No problem,” the royal expert added.

She said, “The recent controversy has caused Kate and William considerable stress and upset.”
