Body language expert Judi James looked into Meghan’s demeanour on the trip. She said: “Meghan’s body language is old-school regal here with a dignified-looking straight back and minimum movement as she listens graciously to the stories they are being told.

“She keeps her body facing front and upright at the table, only turning her head to one side to listen.

“Her closed-lip smile looks gracious and she uses micro eye-blink gestures to encourage them to continue their stories and to register understanding or empathy. Her one important gesticulation here comes when she raises her hands and wrings them together, again to suggest some form of empathy.

“Harry is slightly slumped and less ‘royal’ and when he speaks he uses his now-signature body language ritual of using a different, super-emphatic or mimed hand gesture for each word, as though either wanting to emphasise the vital importance of each word he is saying or to help understanding, despite the fact they are relatively basic.

“It’s an interesting and contrasting double act with Harry’s very active and high-energy approach versus Meghan’s regal elegance.”

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry recently wrapped their three-day visit to Nigeria and were quick to thank all those they met on their trip.

The couple shared a statement on sussex.com in which they paid tribute to the Nigerian community for making them feel so welcome. And they hinted at more tours in the pipeline.

Their message read: “The Duke and Duchess would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all the event organizers, military officials and the whole Nigerian community for their tremendous hospitality and the first of many memorable trips.”

The dup have given fans a glimpse of what happened behind-the-scenes of their Nigeria visit. In a stunning moment, Meghan came over all emotional when she was presented a very special gift for Archie and Lilibet. She had earlier said how much she missed not being with them for Mother’s Day so it was even more poignant.

During their high-profile visit to the African continent, we can reveal the Duchess of Sussex was left speechless by a gesture from young Grace Busari, 13. Meghan was overwhelmed when she was presented a pair of stunning hand-stitched teddy bears from 13-year-old Grace, daughter of CNN Nigeria Bureau chief and Senior Editor invited to join Meghan and Harry on their visit.
