Ever since Jonathan Majors’ firing and the future of Kang hanging by a thread, there has been an ample amount of rumors and speculation, sparking excitement among the fans.

Kang the Conqueror is the MCU’s most formidable antagonist yet. Portrayed by the now-fired Jonathan Majors, the character first made his entry in Loki. Ever since, he has only gotten bigger and more brutal, setting a high bar for future portrayals. Yet, his journey into the MCU seems to be over or hanging over by a thread, since after Majors was fired, there has been no conclusive news about the character.

However, as per one MCU rumor, Marvel Studios has reportedly roped in a high-budgeted Hollywood A-lister to play the role of Kang Prime moving forward. While there have been several fan casts and rumors about potential Kang replacements, it is yet to be revealed who this Hollywood A-lister is, who has allegedly replaced Majors.

Moreover, in a surprising turn of events, the Council of Kangs, a formidable body comprising of the many Kang variants spread across the multiverse, will be portrayed by different actors. Since the Council is comprised of more than a thousand Kangs, it remains to be seen how many different actors will be portraying the Kang variants and whether the actor who is reportedly playing Kang Prime will be cast as a variant as well.

Since recasting is no simple feat, especially for a character like Kang and in a franchise like MCU, the role will demand a nuanced performance that can navigate the complexities of Kang’s many incarnations. With Idris Elba to LaKeith Stanfield, several actors are speculated to replace Kang the Conqueror. However, it should be noted that this is just a rumor, and so far, there has been no official confirmation from Marvel Studios.
