The Tennessee Titans are entering a hard reset period in 2024, and that should include trading away All-Pro wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

Beloved head coach Mike Vrabel was fired in a surprise move, with ex-Cincinnati Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan taking over as the new HC. On top of that, it’s widely assumed that star running back Derrick Henry and former Pro Bowl quarterback Ryan Tannehill will leave in free agency.

With the soon-to-be 32-year-old Hopkins entering the final year of his deal, this feels like the right time for GM Ran Carthon to explore a trade. Hopkins won’t be with the rebuilding Titans long-term, and he should be motivated to play for a contender while he’s still in his prime.

Any team could use “Nuk” in their offense, but the Baltimore Ravens especially make sense as a landing spot for Hopkins.

Baltimore hasn’t had a 1,000-yard pass-catcher since 2021, when Marquise Brown and tight end Mark Andrews both hit the mark. Zay Flowers showed promise as a rookie in 2023 with 858 receiving yards, but Lamar Jackson needs another explosive pass-catcher if his Ravens are to get over the Kansas City Chiefs’ obstacle once and for all.

The Ravens should offer the Titans their 2024 third-round pick (No. 93 overall) and a 2025 fifth-round pick for Hopkins. This is a fair price for a soon-to-be 32-year-old with just one year remaining on his contract.

Tennessee gets extra draft capital for their retooling phase, while the Ravens get a game-changing superstar to bolster an already prolific offense. With Hopkins moving to a contender, it’s a hypothetical trade that works out for all parties.
