Hardly a day after the Super Bowl, San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk dropped a hint on future plans and it does not look good.

On Monday, the day after losing to the Chiefs in overtime of the Super Bowl, Aiyuk went on social media to express his displeasure with how the 49ers used him in the biggest game of the season. Aiyuk had three receptions on six targets for 49 yards in a 25-22 overtime loss to the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVIII.

Wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk posted a cryptic Instagram Story with the message “Don’t forget what got you there.”

Aiyuk’s girlfriend and brother also added to how he might angle for a move out of San Francisco this offseason:

Aiyuk’s girlfriend went on TikTok to vent: “This might be the last day we touch foot on Levi’s Stadium because we might not be out here next season.”

“This is the exact reason why we leaving San Francisco,” Aiyuk’s brother wrote. “Thank you 49ers for drafting my brother we are forever grateful. BA to Vegas. Why does your All Pro 1,300 yard receiver have three catches in the Super Bowl?”
This is a terrible look for the 49ers’ young wide receiver after the biggest defeat of his career.

The 2020 first-round pick caught 75 passes for a career-high 1,342 yards along with seven touchdowns in the regular season. He only had nine receptions spread equally across San Francisco’s three playoff games.

The 49ers came up short in their bid to win the first Super Bowl for almost 30 years on Sunday, with the Chiefs snatching a dramatic 25-22 victory in the final three seconds of overtime.

Emotions are still raw as the 49ers have now lost three Super Bowls in a row. Things may change after a few weeks once guys start to get away this offseason.
