The San Francisco 49ers have lost yet another coach following their Super Bowl 58 defeat on Sunday.

It appears NFL teams all want a piece of what Kyle Shanahan’s got as the Niners have been losing assistants at a shocking rate.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Washington Commanders have snatched up defensive line assistant Daryl Tapp just hours after hiring assistant coach Anthony Lynn.

“And another 49ers assistant coach is headed to Washington. San Francisco’s assistant defensive line coach Darryl Tapp — who played defensive end and linebacker in Washington in 2013 during his 12 NFL seasons — is taking over as the Commanders defensive line coach, per sources,” Schefter reported on Wednesday.

Tapp has developed a reputation around the league after spending three years with the 49ers. Prior to that, he worked with Central Michigan, Vanderbilt, and Virginia. He also spent time in Washington as a player.

Meanwhile, San Francisco has fired defensive coordinator Steve Wilks, with Shanahan revealing as much to reporters this afternoon.
