The Dallas Cowboys haven’t won a Super Bowl since 1995 and have choked in the playoffs for many a season.

Their most recent trip to the postseason ended in a shocking loss to the seventh-seeded Green Bay Packers, with the defeat marking their 29th consecutive campaign without an appearance in a conference fixture.

Still, their postseason failures haven’t affected them where finance is concerned as they are ranked No. 1 where it pertains to the most valuable sports franchises in the world. The Cowboys are valued at $9.2 billion, per Sportico’s latest valuations, which take the last 11 months into account.

The NBA’s Golden State Warriors, New York Knicks, and Los Angeles Lakers are next up with values of $8.28 billion, $7.43 billion, and $7.34 respectively, while the New York Yankees round off the top five with a value of $7.13 billion.

The New York Giants are the second most valuable NFL franchise at $7.04 billion, with the Los Angeles Chargers, New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers, and New York Jets making up the top 10.

The top 100 teams cover just six sports and 10 leagues around the world and are worth a collective $405 billion when team-related businesses and owners’ real estate are included.

Jerry Jones bought the Cowboys for $150 million in 1989. Given the current value, one can say he’s done pretty well for himself.
