Stephen A. Smith is going to be one of the coaches at tonight’s Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, but he’s going to be hobbling about.

According to his ‘First Take’ co-host Molly Qerim, the outspoken analyst needed to get x-rayed at a hospital after he was crossed up by Dallas Cowboys star Michah Parsons in practice.

The irony here is that Stephen A. is the biggest Cowboys hater on the planet, so fans probably feel like it couldn’t have happened to a better guy. Jason Whitlock is likely thinking the same and will definitely have something to say on his next podcast as he has been making fun of the ESPN star’s supposed basketball career in recent times.

Smith joined the show later on and explained that he was about to pull up for a shot when he slid and fell because there was sweat on the floor.

He claims he felt fine after and went home with no issue but woke up with a very painful ankle before the NBA arranged for him to be taken to a medical facility.

The analyst still plans on coaching at tonight’s game, with another ‘First Take’ co-host, Shannon Sharpe, set to be his opposite number.
