Colin Kaepernick’s partner, Nessa, is not letting off the pressure against the NFL.

Super Bowl week is finally here, with the countdown to Super Bowl LVIII is now less than a week. The 2023 season will conclude when the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs face off in Super Bowl LVIII — the second time these teams have faced off in the big game in four years.

Heading into Sunday, there are several juicy storylines, and one girlfriend of a past player is trying to get his name back out there.

Nessa took to her Instagram story and posted a stat from the NFL while calling them out for blackballing him.
“The only time I’ll post anything football related,” Nessa wrote. “To remind you @Kaepernick7 is still blackballed. Still holds records. I know the revisionist historians like to erase his accomplishments but you can’t.”

Nessa criticizes what she perceives as attempts to diminish his achievements.

The stage could be set for another round of discussions about Kaepernick’s relationship with the NFL but it certainly won’t happen this week.

Kaepernick last played in the NFL in 2016, the season that saw him begin his protest by kneeling during the national anthem. This act of defiance stirred substantial controversy, leading to Kaepernick parting ways with the 49ers and not being signed by any other team since.

Colin Kaepernick’s potential NFL return was floated last month as the Los Angeles Chargers hired Jim Harbaugh as their next head coach. His return wouldn’t be as a player but rather as a coach on the team.

Like his playing career, that still remains to be seen.
