The Dan Quinn era has officially kicked off in Washington.

The former Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator is now back in a head coaching role, having been hired by the Commanders last week.

Commanders fans didn’t have to wait long to get hit with one of his slogans. Quinn, famous for reverting to the same lines after losses, has plenty of them out there. “Pissed” and “pissed off” were two of his favorites during his Falcons days.

He wasn’t far into his introductory press conference in Washington before he dropped one. The new Commanders HC claimed to like doing hard things with good people, except he didn’t say “things.”

Washington fans won’t care that he drops awkward quotes as long as he wins games, though.

In other news, the Commanders have also landed a coveted offensive coordinator as they have hired former Arizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury.

Kingsbury, who spent last season as an assistant coach at USC, was expected to join the Las Vegas Raiders before abruptly changing his mind and withdrawing himself from consideration.

If nothing else, the Commanders are going to be an intriguing team.
