ESPN broadcaster Ryan Ruocco stunned sports fans after bringing up a notable Atlanta Falcons blunder during one of the network’s NBA Sunday games.

Ruocco, 37, fired a shot at Falcons fans with a “savage” 28-3 joke during ESPN’s broadcast of the Golden State Warriors match against the Boston Celtics.

The Celtics cruised to an easy 50-point win on Sunday, knocking off the Warriors 140-88, and as the game began to get out of hand, Ruocco went into his bag of jokes.

The comments occurred midway through the second quarter when the Celtics were up big after a monster first period.

Boston was on a 28-3 run during the game to stretch their lead before halftime when Ruocco took a dig at the Falcons.

“Joe Mazzula’s team, since the six-minute mark in the first quarter, has outscored the Warriors 28-3.

“Which, thanks to the Falcons, is a number they like hearing around these parts,” Ruocco said, referring to the New England Patriots win over the Falcons in the Super Bowl year ago.

He also hilariously took an awfully coincidental shot at the Falcons when stating the Celetics home record, which at the time was 28-3 as well.

NBA and NFL fans flooded social media with reactions to the well-known ESPN broadcaster’s witty play on words.

“Falcons fans catching strays there. Ouch,” this fan said.

“Savage. Not ESPN bringing up the 28-3 Super Bowl when talking about the Celtics outscoring the Warriors,” another said.

“Haha, the Falcons caught a random stray from the announcers during the Celtics game when, at one point, the Celtics were on a 28-3 run,” a third laughed.

“Noway Ryan just referenced the Falcons on the 28-3 Celtics run,” a fourth said in shock.

“Falcons fans relaxing watching the Celtics Warriors game and 28-3 gets slipped in there,” a fifth shared.

Ruocco obviously was talking about the Falcons blowing a 28-3 lead to Tom Brady and the Patriots in Super Bowl 51 in 2017.

The Falcons led 28-3 midway through the third quarter before Brady conducted a thunderous comeback to win 34-28 in overtime.
