Mecole Hardman hauled in the game-winning touchdown in Super Bowl LVIII.

All of his teammates flooded towards him to congratulate him. Once that was over, he had a visit from a 14-time Grammy winner. Taylor Swift congratulated Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman after the Chiefs won Super Bowl LVIII against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

Swift was seen chatting with Hardman on the field following the 25–22 victory. Hot mics picked up what she told him.

“So happy for you guys,” Swift told Hardman.

On the game’s final play, the fifth-year receiver of the Kansas City Chiefs was delivered a quick pass from Patrick Mahomes as he gathered the ball and headed toward the pylon for a short 3-yard score that will be long remembered as the play that cemented K.C. as the NFL’s newest dynasty.

Hardman’s OT winner gave the Chiefs their third Super Bowl win in the past five seasons.

Hardman had a total of zero scrimmage yards in the postseason entering the Super Bowl, and his most notable play was him fumbling out of the end zone against the Buffalo Bills in the divisional round.

Hardman caught just 14 passes for 118 yards and zero touchdowns in six regular-season games for Kansas City this season. In Super Bowl LVIII, he caught three passes for 57 yards and the touchdown that mattered most.

Hardman began the season on the New York Jets but was traded back to the Chiefs in a deal that included a couple of late-round 2025 draft picks. It all worked out for him in the end.
