I think we’re going to go with avoidance [laughter] more than dishonesty.
Now, after talking about Dazzler, Fandango’s Jacqueline Coley tried to coax other cameo information. And so the conversation quickly veered toward cameos, with none of the three agreeing or disagreeing on the appearance of characters like Elektra, Mystique, or Storm (Halle Berry). However, Jackman’s hesitancy and fleeting smile caught the attention of fans when the latter was brought up.
In response, Levy stated cautiously in the same interview:
We come to this movie, I definitely come to this movie as a fan… a fan of the X-Men movies and the Deadpool movies.
Nevertheless, Jackman’s enigmatic reaction to Storm’s appearance left fans wondering if something was amiss or suspicious. Let us take a look at how fans are reacting via X:

Ryan Reynolds Broke the Silence on Disney Allowing Deadpool & Wolverine to Go ‘Hard R’
In the same Fandango interview, Ryan Reynolds expressed his astonishment that Disney permitted Deadpool & Wolverine to be R-rated. As it is, he is incredibly “proud” of them for this decision:
I hope it doesn’t sound condescending, I’m really proud of them for doing this. I think it’s a huge step for them. I mean, it adds a whole other color to this kaleidoscopic wheel that is that company and the different people that they have been entertaining forever.

Comic book fans thought that since Disney was focusing on family entertainment, it might tone down the R-rating for the franchise, but director Shawn Levy and Reynolds were allowed to keep the raucous humor going. The actor went on:
I was surprised though, that they let us go as hard R, but very grateful. I mean there’s no other way to do it.
In addition to being the first Marvel Cinematic Universe movie to be released with an R rating at Disney, Deadpool & Wolverine marks Hugh Jackman’s much-anticipated return to playing his iconic X-Men role. Although Wolverine was killed in Logan, the actor promised fans that his portrayal of the X-Men character in Deadpool 3 would not alter the course of events in the adored 2017 film.
