An interesting trade proposal idea has the Cincinnati Bengals sending star wideout Tee Higgins to an up-and-coming team in the NFC.

The Bengals placed the franchise tag on their No. 2 receiver to ensure that he wouldn’t hit the free agent market. It has been widely reported, however, that Cincinnati could trade Higgins if they don’t end up reaching an agreement on a new deal.

Peter Bukowski of the “Locked on Packers” podcast proposed a trade idea in which the Green Bay Packers deal the No. 41 pick (courtesy of the New York Jets thanks to the Aaron Rodgers trade) for Cincinnati’s big-bodied wideout:

Green Bay made a surprise trip to the postseason by finishing with a 9-8 record, before crushing the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card Round. The Packers gave the top-seeded San Francisco 49ers a scare in the Divisional Round but fell 24-21.

Though Jordan Love had an excellent first year as Green Bay’s starting QB, it’s evident that the Pack desperately need a true WR. 1 to complete this offense. Higgins, a two-time 1,000-yard wideout, could easily fill that void after playing second fiddle to Ja’Marr Chase over the last three years.

So if the Bengals do make Higgins available via trade, the Packers certainly should see if they can acquire him for the right price. GM Brian Gutekunst has five picks inside the top 91 selections, after all.
