Jason Kelce officially hung up the cleats Monday, announcing his retirement from the NFL after 13 seasons.

Kelce held an emotional, 45-minute press conference Monday at the NovaCare Complex with his wife Kylie, his parents, Ed and Donna, and brother, Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, in attendance.

During his tear-filled press conference, Kelce recounted his storied career with the Eagles and thanked those who helped him reach his goals.

After giving a 45-minute speech, the Eagles had a surprise waiting for him. Kelce entered the dining hall to a massive ovation which brought him to tears once again.
“I don’t know that I have much speeches left in me today,” Kelce said while wiping tears away. “Thank you so much for everything that everyone in here does and means to this organization and to the players. I mean you guys are incredible and I can’t thank you enough. It’s been an honor to work here with you.”

Kelce played 13 seasons for the Eagles, won a Super Bowl, and released two Christmas albums. He and his wife adopted the city as their second home.

He was drafted in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL draft out of the University of Cincinnati. He played for four head coaches: Andy Reid, Chip Kelly, Doug Pederson, and Nick Sirianni.

In his career, Kelce was named to seven Pro Bowls and named an All-Pro six times. He was both in 2023.

The 36-year-old will now wait as he gets set to head to the Hall of Fame.
