Former Super Bowl champion and five-time Pro Bowl cornerback Richard Sherman was arrested early Saturday morning in Bellevue, Washington for suspicion of driving under the influence. Sherman was pulled over at 2 a.m. and it appears as though he failed the field sobriety test administered by officers.

More details of the story are starting to emerge as court documents state that Sherman eyes were bloodshot and watery and authorities noticed a clear odor of intoxicants. It has also been revealed that Sherman was driving 79 miles per an hour in a posted 60 miles per hour zone.

Unfortunately for Sherman, this is not the first incident he has had involving law enforcement as back in 2021 he was arrested and charged with several offences including suspicion of burglary and domestic violence as well as resisting arrest, malicious mischief and another misdemeanor DUI and hit-and-run charges. He was taken into custody when he was arrested at his wifes parents home in Redmond, Washington.

Sherman currently works as an NFL Analyst for Amazon Prime where he appears on Thursday Night Football as well as Fox Sports. It is yet to be known if Amazon or Fox Sports will take any action regarding Sherman’s latest incident with law enforcement.

Richard Sherman comes across as a very well spoken and highly educated individual as he graduated from Stanford University, one of the more prestigious schools on the country. However, it is quite clear that Sherman has a problem with alcohol and should desperately get some help before he hurts himself or worse yet, an innocent bystander.
