It is no secret that the Washington Commanders need a new quarterback.

The Washington Commanders hold the No. 2 overall pick and are widely expected to take a top college quarterback in the NFL Draft.

The Commanders could use this as an opportunity to truly hit the reset button on their franchise and nab a QB who could have an impact like CJ Stroud had with the Houston Texans this past season.

A new rumor floating around states that the team has been doing their homework on LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels.

With the quarterback position no doubt being a big question mark for Washington given Sam Howell’s up-and-down 2023 season, the consensus is that the Commanders will be selecting a new quarterback to kickstart Dan Quinn’s regime.

When watching Daniels, his explosiveness immediately stands out, both as a runner and a passer.

His stats from his last two seasons are insane as he threw for 57 touchdowns and just seven interceptions while throwing for 6,725 yards. Daniels rushed for 2,019 yards and a cool 21 touchdowns as well.

Daniels finished the 2023 regular season with 3,812 passing yards and 40 touchdowns against just four interceptions.
