First Take discussed the Philadelphia 76ers’ 120-116 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday.

Philadelphia pulled off the upset road win without star player Joel Embiid.

Smith was impressed with 76ers star Tobias Harris’ 28-point performance, but the Mavericks’ loss gave him “cause for pause” with the team and that he “expected better.”

But Sharpe was blown away with the fact Stephen A. forgot about the fact he and ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins torched his take last week that Dallas would lose to Philadelphia.

“You and Perk killed me the other day when I said the Mavericks weren’t going to do anything,” Sharpe told Smith.

“Y’all beat me up. Y’all double-teamed me. Y’all jumped me,” he continued.

Being the witty personality that Stephen A. is, the 56-year-old replied back, with the question, “Wasn’t that before they lost to the Sixers?”

Sharpe immediately laughed at his response as the First Take star continued to moan about how the Mavericks lost the game.

“Without Embiid? It did make me say to Dallas, ‘What’s up with y’all? Was the game too early on a Sunday afternoon?” Smith asked.

The 76ers have a 6-8 record following Embiid’s serious meniscus injury that required surgery on February 6.

The 2022-23 MVP center has reportedly “started on-court workouts and began lifting 100 percent of the weight he lifted prior to the injury,” per ESPN’s Austin Krell.

Philadelphia doesn’t have an exact timeline for Embiid’s return.

The 76ers have a 35-25 record and are the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference.

Dallas, meanwhile, has a 34-27 record and is the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference.

Luka Doncic had 38 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists during the loss to the 76ers.

The NBA scoring leader, however, had seven turnovers in the contest.
