Zach Wilson’s future hangs in the balance with the New York Jets, but in the meantime, his mom is dealing with backlash from her latest comments.

Mike and Lisa Wilson raised Zach and their five other children in Utah as they tied the knot on March 8, 1997. All things considered, they seem to be a happy family.

Just recently, Lisa took to her Instagram story and posted a video of herself and her husband in the gym.
“I’m having an affair with the hot guy from the gym, who also happens to be my husband,” Lisa wrote in the caption.

Not everybody was happy about that caption as one message stated: “Affairs are nothing to make light of. For real. They’re not funny. They destroy families and children’s lives.”

Wilson saw the message and then posted her response so everybody who felt the same could see it.
“Um…. I don’t think i made fun of it,” she replied, via the New York Post. “We weren’t good. We were tired and disconnected. So I thought why do people have affairs. So I did all the same things to try to bring a spark back. Flirting, sexy texts. And it worked. I’m trying to promote finding that fire with your person.”
She continued, “I’m not for everyone and that’s OK. I’m just a mom and wife trying to help women live their best life. Sharing things that work for me.”

Lisa’s Instagram is filled with photos of her family, and in July 2023, she paid tribute to her husband and children with a video compilation of their memories together.

She is all about family, so if she wants to joke about something that is clearly a joke, she can do that. If you look hard enough, everybody can be sensitive or offended by everything. Life is tough, get a helmet.

In the meantime, former second-overall pick in 2021, Zach Wilson, has been granted permission to seek a trade, Jets general manager Joe Douglas said Wednesday during the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.

He is unlikely to find anybody willing to give up assets for him. The 2023 season was intended to be a reset year for Wilson, who was benched multiple times in the last two years.

Wilson finished his third year in New York by throwing for 2,271 yards, eight touchdowns, and seven interceptions through 12 games.
